Petrin osvrt na radionice emocionalne inteligencije
Throughout
the past semester I held workshops with the high school students in Slava
Raškaj on the topic of emotional intelligence. The start of the workshops was
quite difficult for the students as the concept of emotional intelligence
itself was a new one they were being introduced to. My biggest challenge revolved
around exploring ways to intrigue the students and win their attention on what
to them may initially seem an abstract topic. Over time, the students started
to feel more comfortable. They slowly became more open to the content we were
covering. We discussed what emotional intelligence is, it's relevance to the
students' lives, the 5 main categories of emotional intelligence, emotions,
conflict resolution, emotional intelligence in the work place, empathy, characteristics
of individuals with high emotional intelligence and growth mindset. At the end
of the workshops I noticed an improvement in the students' understanding of the
concept in the way they were able to participate in discussions.
Tijekom
proteklog semestra sam održala radionice na temu emocionalne inteligencije za
srednjoškolce u centru za odgoj i obrazovanje „Slave Raškaj“. Početni dio radionica
je učenicima bio prilično zahtjevan za njih jer je taj koncept za njih bio potpuno
novi. Moj je najveći izazov bio pridobiti pažnju i pobuditi interes učenika za
temu koja im se na početku doimala apstraktnom. S vremenom su se učenici počeli
osjećati ugodnije. Malo po malo su postajali otvoreniji za sadržaje koje su
radionice obuhvaćale. Razgovarali smo o tome što je emocionalna inteligencija,
njezinoj važnosti i relevantnosti za njihov život, 5 glavnih kategorija
emocionalne inteligencije, emocijama, konfliktnim situacijama, emocionalnoj
inteligenciji u poslovnom okruženju, osobine osoba s visoko razvijenom
emocionalnom inteligencijom i mentalnom sklopu rasta. Pred kraj radionica sam
primijetila napredak u učeničkom razumijevanju pojma emocionalne inteligencije
u načinu na koji su sudjelovali u razgovorima.
